Room was adequate. There is always the risk people, other guests, will sit outside and talk loudly into the night. Fortunately that did not occur but it did occur next morning around 6.45am before breakfast. The dining menu for the evening meal was good. Travelling from Sydney, I was keen to try crocodile, simply grilled, without some chef adding his or her spices. The crocodile dishes all had spices; disappointing. The following night I stayed at Cooinda Lodge; their food was of a very low standard. I would recommend to my family, friends or anyone to stay at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel rather than Cooinda Lodge.

I'm a kid ...I loved the shape of the building the story that goes with it . I love the food who dosnt love a great buffet.. I struggle to leave the croc . The beds are fabulous, there is a bath , the pool is devine , a bar, restaurant open breakfast lunch and dinner and its has its very own art gallery. Local artists coming in regularly during the dry season for demonstrations. Yours can be booked from the front desk from one of the amazing young staff the have there.

The rooms were lovely - and clean. The tariff was extremely reasonable for the quality. Great pool, small art gallery in the foyer and a water station at reception, which was a nice touch. The place had a real feel of luxury about it, given its remote location. Plus, there was a supermarket across the road (expensive, but offered fresh sandwiches) and you could walk to an art gallery that served excellent coffee.

The hotel is in a great location and will enable you to explore Kakadu from a central position. We stayed 2 nights and covered everything we wanted to do. But would recommend 3 nights in order to make it a more leisurely stay so you can take advantage of the pool, etc. The hotel provides a good buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

David

It is a unique property, in a unique part of Australia. Our Queen deluxe room was spacious, tasteful and in a good position. The reception and restaurant staff were helpful and efficient, there was a broad range of Aboriginal art for sale, and the tours available were comprehensive.
